IT Contracts and Sourcing Director Duties: Will be responsible for the success of central technology efforts in federated business model. The Contracts team is responsible for negotiating and managing the firms' enterprise wide IT contracts used on a global and or cross territorial basis to support the firm in developing optimal, best in class contract terms and savings while mitigating risk and liability to the partnership. Creating, modifying, and reviewing documents with regard to business, legal, financial, and operational aspects; such as agreements, letters of intent, statements of work, RFPs, RFIs, licenses and leases; identifying and maximizing privileges, entitlements, advantages, authorizations, permissions and warranties; minimizing risk issues including legal liabilities, firm obligations, technology, business, client exposure, regulatory, disaster, legal, etc.; providing project management, ranging from the tasks associated with the agreement to setting up and completing the entire deal, identifying and resolving issues, providing solution options and managing the process and people involved; writing, managing, and negotiating cross-territory agreements, acting as an advisor to users, and working closely and managing relationships with, the global licensing teams, it teams and other business status.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree. Business Administration degree is preferred. Legal training or licensed attorney will be considered. 5+ years of direct success in roles negotiating international software and hardware vendor contracts and IT infrastructure environments, including leading and developing communications to manage all levels of leaders, staff, and clients internationally; facilitate project management and negotiations; lead staff across various locations; and assess opportunity and business and/or ethical risks relating to internal and external requirements of sponsors needs. Demonstrates proven intimate understanding of local, territorial and global requirements determined by a combination of operations, internal clients, and legal counsel based in territories where identified products and services will be utilized, emphasizing operational understanding of business and technical requirements and translating them into contract form is preferred. Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of negotiating international software and hardware vendor contracts, emphasizing communicating with business senior leaders and other stakeholders to understand needs and existing opportunities, and provide related recommendations based on its policies, standards, and strategies, including the following areas: Maximizing the value/cost ratio for products and services obtained; Identifying and minimizing risk issues such as liabilities, obligations, data protection and privacy, technology, business, client exposure, regulatory, disaster, and, legal; Assessing the scope of agreement impact on issues involving distribution, trans-border issues such as product and data, distribution, tax, customs, Foreign Export, tariffs, support, security, jurisdictions, regulations, laws; advising users and purchasers on the risks and exposures inherent in arrangements and agreements; monitoring and being alert to the shifts in vendor marketing strategies and positioning, and extractions from bad practice arrangements. Demonstrates proven intimate abilities with performing analyses permitting the interpretation and comparison of values and costs among vendor proposals, as well as assisting users in responding to requests for product and service proposals, providing guidance in the analyses and evaluations of submittals and responses is preferred. Demonstrates proven extensive abilities identifying, formulating, presenting and explaining to senior leaders with local, territory and or global responsibilities both the impact and rationale - from initial discussions through negotiations and contract execution - for global contracts related to products, maintenance, support, services, imposed vendor protocols, and a business requirements, policies and other areas, i.e. legal, tax, financial, administration, operations, security, customs, privacy, confidentiality and compliance is needed.
