Senior Contract Negotiator The candidate will be required to secure these accesses and support the Integrated Sensor Programs product lines within SAS's Integrated Technology Programs (ITP) mission area. Will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing proposals, contract negotiations and administering various types of government contracts and review RFPs, prepare and submit proposals, structure business deals, formalize contractual documents, and interface with customers and firm management to resolve problems and secure approvals. Be able to address issues with a high degree of scope and terms/conditions complexity and perform risk assessments on proposals, contracts terms and conditions, potential business deals, and develop strategies to maximize achievement of program financial and performance goals and to minimize potential risks to the business. Formulate and execute business strategies to reduce risk, enhance customer satisfaction, build positive customer relationships, improve profitability and support new business opportunities. Have ongoing interface with the customer community, both Prime Contractors and the Government and work closely and successfully within Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment and with various customers.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a major related to this job description and a MBA, JD degree in Law and/or Certified Federal Contracts Management (CFCM) professional certification desired or other similar certification(s) related to Government or commercial contracting is desired. Must have 6+ years of related work experience in contracts, business, or a related field. Experience working with U.S. Government acquisition and related regulations, e.g., Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and experience with competitive RFPs, reviewing, working, developing, and submitting proposals is required. Must have an active DOD Secret clearance, with ability to secure special access and familiarity with firm's businesses, policies, and practices is needed.
