Graduate Internship - Supply Chain - Summer 2015 Interns will optimize the global supply chain and improve the timely and efficient throughput of requirements to Business Partners over an approximate 12 week term during the summer of 2015. May exist in a variety of Supply Chain roles/disciplines, including: Data Scientist, Product Quality Team Analyst, Contract Manager, Spend/Reporting Analyst, and Senior Procurement Consultant. A J.D. degree and relevant M.S., and/or MBA candidate will be considered. Aptitude to quickly understand and apply economic/business principles, recognize subtleties of complex problems, and develop innovative solutions driven or supported by data will be required. Effective communication skills are required. Accounting and finance experience, education, and understanding will be required. Experience in building sophisticated models in Excel or other software; ability to analyze large data sets and formulate value-add conclusions is required. Background or experience with strategic sourcing is required. The ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to improve the supply chain is required. Ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of financial measures and supply chain metrics and disciplines. Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to building professional relationships are required. Ability to manage client and vendor relationships and work productively within a team is required. Understanding of telecom technology, industry trends, market conditions and demand will be required. Strong project management experience will be required. Strong holistic technical skills and ability to learn new software will be required. Understanding of engineering and supply chain is required. Understanding of supply chain systems and applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is required. Transactional law experience: ability to draft and edit contracts and understand the legal implications of subtle changes in language will be required. Business law experience or education, such as coursework in Business Associations or Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Alternative-Dispute Resolution, Anti-trust, Corporate Tax, Intellectual Property, etc. will be required. Negotiations coursework and a strong ability to negotiate, influence, and persuade others will be required. Experience with logistics, inventory management, and/or freight modeling in a multi-modal environment is required. Logistics (warehousing, distribution, 3PL, etc.) and fleet operations experience is required. Knowledge of import/export and trade compliance requirements is essential. Experience leading high-impact Quality projects (Six Sigma, Lean, TL9000, etc.) will be required. Ability to leverage data to drive business insights through sophisticated modeling, statistics, and other highly analytical methods will be required. Experience with Big Data and Big Data architectures, such as Hadoop will be required. Excellent trend analysis and predictive and statistical analysis practices will be required.
