Associate Counsel, Corporate Duties: Will entail a broad array of commercial transactions and will involve negotiating, drafting and advising clients with respect to agreements of all types. This will include supplier agreements, sponsorship agreements, consultant and license agreements as well as NDAs, releases and agreements with service providers or other parties. The attorney will also handle disputes and litigation matters. Will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing, on an independent basis, contracts, licenses, leases and other agreements with suppliers, service providers, vendors, independent contractors, landlords, etc. Advising Brands, Regions and Functions on legal issues relating to various agreements as well as providing business-oriented advice and counsel to allow business units to achieve objectives while protecting the overall company. Advising and Counseling Brands, Regions and Functions regarding compliance with local, state and federal legal requirements. Providing counseling and/or litigation management with respect disputes (including litigation) arising in a broad array of legal matters (e.g., basic employment issues, OSHA, environmental health and safety). Contract management, including the development and use of templates and client education.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Juris Doctorate degree and 8+ years of experience. Must be admitted to Law Practice in NY (possibly other states). Some travel may be required.
