Attorney The candidate will serve as legal counsel to company Land’s business units on real estate law, construction and energy purchasing. Negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, licenses and related documents in connection with Ford Land’s business and provide legal advice to Ford Land staff. Demonstrate strong teamwork, sound judgment and analysis, and exceptional innovation. Foster strong relationships with key partners in Ford Credit, Product Testing, Market Representation and Franchising, Environmental Quality Office, and other organizations within Ford. Use sound judgment to provide practical yet innovative legal advice within the bounds of the law. Participate in office activities, such as community service, pro bono, recruiting, and training.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. degree with academic distinction. Must be admitted to Michigan Bar (or eligible for admission without examination). Must have 4-7 years of legal experience. Real estate law expertise is needed. 5 + years real estate experience is a plus. Must have familiarity with environmental law, bankruptcy and litigation. Should have excellent writing and communication skills; fluent in English.
