Profile

Director of Global Ethics and Compliance The candidate will promote the Company’s culture of ethics and compliance across functions. Develop and deliver or coordinate the delivery of employee ethics and compliance training to a diverse, global work force. Conduct an ongoing risk analysis of global operations and identify and prioritize the company’s global compliance efforts. Maintain and continuously improve the Company’s ethics and compliance program, including the creation, review and revision of policies and procedures to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manage the day-to-day operations of the ethics and compliance program, including its application to employees based internationally and facilities in multiple international jurisdictions. Oversee the periodic review and update of the Company’s corporate and regional standards of conduct to ensure continuing relevance. Act as the primary point of contact in the Legal Department for the Company’s Global Supply Chain; provide risk management advice as appropriate. Provide reports to the Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel, Senior Management, and Board of Directors regarding compliance efforts and risks. Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Internal Audit, Sustainability, Corporate Security, and regional Legal teams to manage the company’s risks. Coordinate the response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures and develop a system for uniform handling of such violations; directly manage ethics and compliance investigations as appropriate; ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to appropriate agencies. Support compliance financial planning and budgeting, expense management and costing and billing processes. Monitor the performance of the company’s ethics and compliance programs and recommend and implement methods to improve program effectiveness. Coordinate needed ethics and compliance certifications as required by company controls, regulatory authorities and customers.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have Bachelor’s degree. Should preferably have law degree or graduate level business degree. Must have 7+ years’ experience in an ethics and compliance role. In-house corporate experience is desired. Hands-on experience within a compliance function of a global, logistics or retail organization is a plus. 5+ years’ international team leadership and business and development experience is preferred.
