Will read statutes, understand legal issues, and put the law into plain English for a general audience. Must have a law degree and 3+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer. Should be a lawyer with experience in any of the following: bankruptcy, consumer debt issues, student loan debt, or credit reporting. Demonstrated legal expertise is required. Should have ability to write in an authoritative, neutral tone. Should have ability to translate legal concepts into articles and FAQs that can be easily understood by a consumer audience.
