ProfileCollection Attorney Duties: Initial Case Intake and Evaluation of delinquencies. Negotiate and Monitor Payment Plans. Direct preparation and approval of pleadings and correspondence. Evaluate Post-Judgment Collection options including garnishments, interrogatories, stipulations and foreclosures. Prepare and monitor all post-judgment collection efforts. Prepare for and conduct returns, hearings and trials. Monitor and evaluate bankruptcies. Respond to client inquiries regarding status of pending matters. Maintain and review status reports. Communicate and update Out of State firms. Meet with clients as necessary. Participate in the Firm’s business development meetings. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Negotiate settlements. Handle Disputes.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey. 2-5 years of experience as a Collection Attorney. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion. Excellent oral and written communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Continues attention to detail. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. HIPAA Compliance. FDCPA Compliance.
