Receptionist/Legal Assistant The candidate will be at the forefront, responsible for the first impression of our firm. We are seeking someone who is happy to engage with our clients whether they are new or existing in either of our local offices. Actively and happily engage with current and prospective clients while calling, answering and transferring phone calls, faxes or emails. Eager to schedule new appointments. Respond and follow up on client calls and inquires in a timely manner with respect and professionalism. Gather, organize, scan or fax documents that come into the firm. Legal document organization/physical file organization. Data entry and knowledge of Microsoft Office software which includes Word and Excel. Best Case experience preferred. Mailing correspondence between the courts, clients or representatives of the firm.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Notary a plus. 1+ year of phone customer service. 1+ year law office or law clerk experience (consider law students and/or paralegal students). Experience with Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Probate and/or Civil Litigation is preferred. Law Firm office experience is required. Be honest and engage with each caller on every call. Multi-tasking is essential. Quick learner and able to handle assignments effectively and efficiently. Competent typing skills a must. Knowledge of court documents, court filing, file organization, and calendaring a must. A team player that treats employees and clients with the utmost respect. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated person that enjoys taking initiative. On time and adheres to deadlines.
