ProfileLitigation Analyst The candidate will assist firm's senior Litigation Analyst (former trial attorney) by analyzing current litigation's and legal issues which are relevant to firm's institutional trading clients. The analysis will be shared with clients as part of firm's initiative to provide deeper market insights. Working closely with research and sales teams on a variety of current, topical legal issues will provide with direct, daily involvement in all sectors of the U.S. equity markets (i.e., energy, consumer, financials, TMT and healthcare). Additionally, plays an important part in allowing firm to broaden the scope of cases under review, directly impacting firm's growth. Monitor complex litigation and court dockets. Provide succinct, real-time summaries and legal analysis of complex legal issues. Occasional travel to monitor trials and hearings in a variety of jurisdictions. Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic, collaborative research/sales team. High level oral and written communication skills. Must have 1-3 years of experience at a major law firm. Federal clerkship is preferred. Candidates coming directly from a federal clerkship will be considered. Diversity in practice areas would be ideal (experience in a variety of areas: e.g., commercial litigation, patent, bankruptcy, corporate matters, and securities).
