License Management Analyst III -Finance Duties: Maintains current and historical knowledge of LMS audit tools, processes, policies and technical requirements, and pursues continued understanding of corporate, organizational and licensing updates as it relates to LMS activities. Qualifies LMS engagements to determine most effective service category, scope and approach through data mining, interpretation of license agreements, analysis of transaction history and understanding customer / partner relationship to company. Executes reviews through proactive management of cross-functional teams with timely accomplishment of review tasks and goals in order to gain a thorough understanding of organization's system environment and provide accurate licensing guidance. Actively builds internal and external relationships by establishing trust through accurate knowledge sharing, licensing guidance, and transparent engagement activities. Manages expectations of constituents involved in LMS engagement by working to resolve complex licensing issues leveraging company's contracts and business policies and presenting different options to achieve resolution. Progresses LMS engagements through active listening and persuasively articulating, both verbally and written, review status and direction. Ensures questions and concerns are given appropriate and timely consideration. Performs software license reviews of partners to ensure compliance with contract terms and company's business practices while providing value-added services to enhance partner satisfaction. Conducts business reviews of company's partners to determine if the organization's partner is in compliance with the terms and conditions of its organization's agreement(s) and organization's pricing, licensing, and business practices. Works with partner to resolve compliance issues and ensures proper compensation to company while preserving the partner relationship. Solicits and evaluates potential targets for review and travels to places of business to perform the business reviews. Interprets and summarizes partner agreements, reviews, and reconciles software sales activity and accompanies support records, and work with other company's organizations such as Royalty Reporting, Order Administration, Contracts, Alliances, Support, Business Practices, Legal, and Sales. Identify and qualify customer review opportunities. Provides license and business practice advice in support of follow-up sales negotiations. Generates annual license compliance revenue and customer satisfaction targets. Participates in projects to improve the review process, licensing and technical knowledge. Provides licensing and business practice education to internal and external customers. Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Legal or MIS. CPA or J.D. degree is preferred. 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years Big 5 public accounting/internal audit experience or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in related field. Experience in project management principles. Experience in working with C-level personnel. Experience with executive-level presentations. Ability to interpret and understand complex software licensing agreements and business practices and apply them to different scenarios. Ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall "big picture". Ability to comprehend and interpret complex licensing issues.Strong presentation and communication skills. Experience in working with c-level personnel. Ability to analyze and interpret key relationships and concepts. Ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall "big picture". Successful management of multiple projects. Ability to work independently. Interest in travel and technology. Understanding of software industry and company's software a plus. Travel necessary. Some travel may be required.
