Associate Counsel Duties: Provides legal advice and legal services to various internal departments, including advice and services with respect to traditional and structured transactions, contracts, and tax and investment laws and regulations. Provides general legal support for contract drafting and contract reviews. Assists management of relations with SEC and FINRA. Performs other duties as assigned. Fosters a positive and engaged work environment.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Law degree from a United States accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. State. Prefer: Corporate tax experience. Prefer: 3+ years of relevant experience in the legal department of a corporation, law firm or governmental entity. Ability to comprehend and interpret sophisticated corporate and transactional legal documents and related materials. Negotiating skills in translating business needs and problems into viable and accepted solutions. Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to clearly present appropriate business terminology and concepts. Ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems/issues. Proficiency in working in and fostering a customer service focused environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including the ability to coordinate key areas of responsibility.
