Compliance Analyst-Control Group Advisory The candidate supports the North America Control Group Compliance team (“NAM Control Groupâ€), a division within ICG Compliance responsible for developing policies and procedures reasonably designed to prevent the misuse of material nonpublic information. The position entails a high degree of interaction with varying levels of personnel and management within Compliance and throughout different global functions and business units within the Firm. Specific role is as follows: Provide project management oversight for several ongoing information barrier advisory projects of the NAM Control Group. Assist in preparation and cataloguing of training materials, policies, procedures, and process documents. Liaise with various businesses including the bank’s Research, Corporate and Investment Banking, Capital Markets Origination in order to update transactions and restrictions within Control Group databases. Act as a key resource to Control Group team members by assisting in (i) the review of investment banking transactions for materiality, (ii) reviewing bank’s Research product prior to publication, (iii) approving bank’s Research Analyst public appearances, (iv) maintaining records related to bank’s Research public appearances and interactions between bank’s Research and investment banking. Provide administrative support to NAM Control Group.
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a BA/BS degree in a related field with 0-2 years’ work experience as well as demonstrated interest in a career in the compliance, regulatory or legal field within the financial industry. Alternatively, the candidate will be a law school graduate interested in specializing in compliance within the financial services industry. Should be able to work autonomously as an effective member of a dynamic team and must be hard working, conscientious, capable of multitasking, and capable of rigorous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Should possess strong writing, presentation and analytical skills. Should have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
