Senior AML Risk Manager - Wholesale Banking The candidate will provide direction to an established team of AML practitioners, focused on identifying and managing all AML related risks embedded in these business activities. Will develop, implement and manage all aspects of an enhanced AML program developed by the Corporate AML group. Interact with business line personnel, including senior and executive leaders, the Corporate AML team, other risk specialists, legal, internal audit, and bank examiners. Develop, direct, maintain and oversee the AML / BSA / ATF / OFAC program for the business lines - promoting a strong culture of AML / BSA / ATF / OFAC compliance. Develop and maintain business line procedures supporting all elements of the Corporate AML program, including compliance with applicable federal, state, and global laws pertaining to AML/BSA. Monitor the business lines' activities and controls to ensure on-going compliance with AML standards and regulatory updates communicated by Corporate AML. Review and evaluate levels of AML/BSA risk and escalate, as appropriate. Identify control gaps and implement plans to address them. Act as a key AML risk advisor to the business lines' leadership and serve as a liaison between the business lines and the Corporate AML team. Ensure that the business lines adopt an anticipatory posture related to the rapidly changing risk and compliance environment. Manage, monitor, and coordinate AML/BSA projects and activities for the business lines.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. An advanced degree (MBA or J.D.) is preferred. Must have 8+ years of experience in AML/BSA compliance, or sanctions screening (OFAC) disciplines with 3+ years of management experience. Demonstrated Risk/Audit/Compliance competencies desired. Prior experience as a bank examiner, auditor, or AML consultant (large firm) is preferred.
