Compliance Officer-Global AML Monitoring SME for GCB Cards The candidate will assist in preparing documentation for the GCB Cards project deliverables and governance meetings. Engage with Operations on establishing appropriate Monitoring procedures and investigation standards for GCB Cards. Ensure adherence to the AML Monitoring Governance via the AML Monitoring Committee. Work closely across functions/regions to ensure a globally consistent approach to GCB Cards Monitoring. Provide support to the Regional Monitoring teams. Escalate issues to senior management for discussion and resolution. Utilize analytical skills to organize material, information, and/or people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have BA/BS degree or equivalent with a JD/graduate degree a plus. Must have 5+ years of related legal or compliance experience. Must have demonstrated experience with software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must have strong communication and collaborative skills as well as a good understanding of the products and services provided by the business. This includes Cards as well as the many GCB products and Network functionalities. Must have strong analytical skills and an understanding or skills demonstrating the ability to quickly develop an understanding of core GCB Cards related policies and programs (e.g., data, information barriers; access to research; global AML Operations, FIU). Should also possess the skills needed to identify and assess current and emerging compliance and regulatory risks in the business, and will be expected to be a significant thought contributor to cross-business initiatives and their impact to the Monitoring Program at the GCB Compliance level. Knowledge of US regulatory requirements and bulletins and a understanding of global regulatory environments are needed. Must have the ability to interact effectively with people across functions and across regions. Should have ability to analyse information, problems, practices or procedures in order to: Assist in defining the problem; Identify relevant concerns or key factors; Facilitate the identification of patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Should have strong organizational skills, strong writing, analytical and communication skills. Should understand the vision and develop strategy.
