Senior License Consultant The candidate leads License Management Services engagements remotely and on-site, leverages virtual teams through project management principles and collaboratively navigates the engagement from beginning to end. This is achieved by best matching which service offering suits the customer / partner engagement needs, obtaining an understanding of a customer/ partner’s IT environment and then recommending proper deployment of licenses. Through these activities, aims to transfer knowledge to customers and partners throughout the engagement process to: Educate on company licensing and business practices and their application; Equip with the skills, knowledge and/or tools required to effectively manage company licenses; Enable pro-active license control and management and the realization of the associated benefits. Maintains current and historical knowledge of License Management Services audit tools, processes, policies and technical requirements, and pursues continued understanding of corporate, organizational and licensing updates as it relates to License Management Services activities. Qualifies License Management Services engagements to determine most effective service category, scope and approach through data mining, interpretation of license agreements, analysis of transaction history and understanding customer / partner relationship to company. Executes reviews through proactive management of cross-functional teams with timely accomplishment of review tasks and goals in order to gain a thorough understanding of their company system environment and provide accurate licensing guidance. Actively builds internal and external relationships by establishing trust through accurate knowledge sharing, licensing guidance, and transparent engagement activities. Manages expectations of constituents involved in License Management Services engagement by working to resolve complex licensing issues leveraging company’s contracts and business policies and presenting different options to achieve resolution. Progresses License Management Services engagements through active listening and persuasively articulating, both verbally and written, review status and direction. Ensures questions and concerns are given appropriate and timely consideration. Demonstrates balanced, impartial and timely judgment when making decision on the License Management Services engagement. Works With: License Management Services Team Members and Managers, Customers / Partners, Sales, Legal, Business Practices, and company Contract Management Teams. Performs software license reviews of our partners to ensure compliance with their contract terms and company’s Business Practices while providing value-added services to enhance partner satisfaction. Conducts business reviews of company partners to determine if the company partner is in compliance with the terms and conditions of its company agreement(s) and company’s pricing, licensing, and business practices. Works with partner to resolve compliance issues and ensures proper compensation to company while preserving the partner relationship. Solicits and evaluates potential targets for review and travels to their places of business to perform the business reviews. Interprets and summarizes partner agreements, reviews, and reconciles software sales activity and accompanies support records, and work with other company organizations such as Royalty Reporting, Order Administration, Contracts, Alliances, Support, Business Practices, Legal, and Sales. Identify and qualify customer review opportunities. Provide license and business practice advice in support of follow-up sales negotiations. Generate annual license compliance revenue and customer satisfaction targets. Participate in projects to improve the review process, licensing and technical knowledge. Provide licensing and Business Practice education to internal and external customers.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have BA/BS degree in MIS, Business Administration, Finance, Legal or Accounting. CPA or J.D. preferred. Should have 3-5 years experience in related field. Must have experience in Project Management Principles. Should have 5 years of experience to include 3 years Big 5 public accounting/internal audit experience or equivalent. Must have experience in working with c-level personnel. Experience with executive-level presentations is needed. Should have experience in working with C-level personnel. Experience with internal or external customer facing coupled with the ability to be firm yet professional is necessary. Experience with SAM and/or ITAM certification is necessary. External customer facing and executive presentation experience is necessary. Must have ability to interpret and understand complex software licensing agreements and business practices and apply them to different scenarios. Should have ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall "big picture". Should have exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to comprehend and interpret complex licensing issues. Strong presentation and communication skills are needed. Should have ability to analyze and interpret key relationships and concepts. Must have ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall "big picture". Understanding of software industry and company software a plus.
