Lawyer / Attorney V The candidate will join the Opinion and Research Unit. Will render responsive and timely legal opinion, advice and counsel on various legal issues. Act on all requests for legal opinion, advice and counsel in all areas of banking operations emanating from the various units of the Bank. Conduct in-depth studies required by various bank units on policies, products and programs. Provide tax advice and prepare reply to tax assignments. Prepare replies to exceptions/findings of government regulatory bodies (e.g., BSP, COA, etc.). Review and /or prepare contracts, agreements, bank policies or manuals (loan and non-loan related). Prepare and disseminate opinions of far reaching dimensions in terms of policy making and interpretation. Act as resource person on legal topics as requested by various departments of the Bank. Notarize official Bank documents, bond issues and other special projects. Select opinions/legal studies/cases/laws for uploading in the Portal of the Legal Services Group. Provide support and advice to the Bank's subsidiaries to ensure compliance with the legal requirements of pertinent government regulatory bodies. Perform other tasks and duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor and the Chief Legal Counsel. Should have Bachelor of Laws with 3 years of relevant experience; 16 hours of relevant training; and RA 1080/PD 907 eligibility.
