Solicitor, Central Banking and Operations Candidate will support the Central Banking and Operations function by providing on-going legal advice and assistance in relation to procurement law, tenders, contracts and reviewing and advising on legislation relating to the Bank. Duties include drafting and analysis of tender documentation, contracts for goods and services and all related ancillary documentation like confidentiality agreements concerning the Bank within agreed timescales. Analysis of legal issues and provision of legal advice regarding all areas of the Bank’s business, in relation to banking and operations, to provide an effective service and meet targets within agreed timelines, including management of liaison with respective divisions. Dealing with legal work arising from the introduction of GMRA/ISDA agreements with counterparties. Liaise with external legal advisers, including formulating queries for a legal opinion and interpreting the response for others in the Bank within agreed timescales. Representing the Bank as a legal expert in international and domestic fora, including participation in the ESCB committees, task forces and working groups to provide an effective service within agreed policy.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have an Honours degree (Level 8 on the NFQ) and a professional legal qualification with 2+ years of post-qualification experience. Experience in advising on public procurement law and drafting contracts is needed. Good knowledge of European, banking and finance and commercial law, is an advantage. Closing date: 4 August, 2014. Note: This is a role covering maternity leave for approximately 1 year.
