Legal-AGC - Consumer Banking - VP Responsibilities: Will support and advise the business with respect to deposit product sales practices, branch communications, customer communications, banker compensation and branch training. Advise the business with respect to new products or pricing, product changes, marketing, regulatory and related issues impacting financial institutions operating in a multi-state environment. Partner with other Consumer Banking lawyers, as well as colleagues in other lines of business, to support and help drive Consumer Banking and cross-LOB projects and initiatives. Support the business, and partner with Compliance Colleagues, regarding all laws and regulations governing the Consumer Banking business. All other duties as necessary or assigned to provide high-caliber line of business legal support.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A J.D. degree and admitted to practice in and member of the Bar in which the candidate will practice. 8-10 years of relevant experience, including experience in private practice advising large financial institutions or relevant in-house experience. Knowledge of and experience with federal laws and regulations pertaining to banks and deposit accounts. Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and project management skills, judgment and character. Experience with digital, electronic and mobile banking and transactions is preferred. Should be capable and be willing to learn new issues, take ownership and drive projects to conclusion. Excellent oral and written communication, management, interpersonal and organizational skills and a proven record of successfully handling multiple responsibilities and delegating and supervising tasks in a fast-paced, high profile and rapidly evolving environment.
