Consultant – Legal Financial Services (EMEIA FSO) The candidate will covers all legal issues, work for clients active in the banking and insurance sectors, at the cutting edge of business practice. This includes: general commercial and contractual work, regulatory work and advice such as AIFMD, IMD, PRIPS, EMIR, MIFID II, Dodd Frank, etc. Provide competent technical legal advice to financial institutions and end users. Demonstrate a pro-active, client-oriented attitude and identify additional sales opportunities. Act as an interface towards our clients, both locally and on EMEIA level and step up to the challenge of representing company in front of external parties.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Master Degree in Law. Must have 1 - 3 years of experience in private practice and/or an academic bent. Must be fluent in Dutch/French and English. Must exposure to (cross-border) regulatory issues, private banking law, consumer protection, financial collateral agreements, MIFID, clearing and settlement or contract drafting is certainly a plus. A practical approach, and a thorough, detail-oriented manner of working. Interest in / affinity with financial law, with the willingness to learn further in that direction, is an advantage.
