Legal Writer The candidate will refine the scope of contents of assigned PG titles, chapters and sections. Work with other assigned editorial staff to meet the content release schedule. Adapt overseas published text to reflect China law and the PG model. Adapt local published text in accordance with the PG style, standards and content plan. Work with external editors to QA content. Work with internal editors to publish content. Work with other assigned editorial staff to track external feedback related to content and take appropriate actions. Assist sales and CS teams to understand product positioning and key selling points. Perform timely escalation of issues to management, eg with reference to product issues that have significant customer and revenue impact. Maintain close industry relationships.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a legal environment, preferably a commercial law firm. Should have knowledge of China law, supported by a local legal qualification (LLB, J.D. or LL.M). Must have knowledge of China legal practice, supported by a PRC Lawyer Qualification. Must have strong understanding of lawyers’ workflow practises and research behaviours. Must have Demonstrable writing or editing experience. Must have strong written communication skills. Should have strong networking capabilities, professional demeanour and business maturity. Must have time management and project management skills. Language skills: native Chinese essential; fluent English preferred.
