Sales Director Duties: An important member of the sales team, playing a critical role in growing existing law firm and corporate accounts. Develop inroads into target accounts and to grow accounts in a defined geographical territory. Manages the upsell sales process using a consultative sales approach to identify new opportunities at the account and demonstrate the value of Legal Analytics to the account, including expanded deployments as well as showcasing new practice areas, products and services. Attain sales growth targets and quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis. Understand the competitive market and differentiators. Drive upsell revenue by identifying opportunities, probing as to needs, articulating value and differentiators, conducting product demonstrations, delivering customized proposals and assisting in closing sales in accordance with approved sales management guidelines. Grow existing accounts through sales of additional licenses or additional products or services. Place outbound lead generation calls to targeted prospects in order to identify and warm new business leads. Pass qualified sales ready opportunities and work in partnership on target accounts. Maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com and report regularly on sales opportunity pipeline. Create and manage a territory plan and report on results. Assist in the development of regional marketing strategies. Attend sales meetings and conventions as required. May require overnight travel to client locations, events and company meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA or BS Degree required. JD Degree preferred. 2+ years' direct sales experience. Experience in sales or account management to large law firms and/or F500 corporations strongly preferred. Experience in selling or supporting sales of software products and/or big data analytics preferred. Experience in selling or account management to executive, partner and C-level prospects. Experience selling in a challenger or solution-selling framework or similar defined sales process. Ability to achieve strong sales and attain revenue or growth goals. Excellent communication skills – ability to effectively communicate with attorneys and C-level executives. High level of initiative, integrity, self-discipline and self-motivation. Excited to collaborate and share ideas to drive sales and influence product development. Developing and delivering sales growth plans. Consultative selling skills with customer-centric focus. Proven knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques. Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation and Professional demeanor. Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong product demonstration skills.
