Director, Compliance Paratransit Responsibilities: Handle and monitor the day-to-day activities associated with the implementation and management of the division’s compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and NYCT’s Language Assistance Plan as governed by the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Title VI Act of 1964 and NYCT policies and procedures. Oversee compliance control initiatives by developing, implementing, and following up on complex corrective and proactive action plans that include, programs and initiatives to ensure the division’s compliance with any and all mandates or findings cited under the FTA Triennial Review and the FTA Compliance Review. Prepare and conduct analyses and reports to identify and/or satisfy any related deficiencies from the FTA Triennial and Compliance Review findings. Handle and monitor all legal issues for the Paratransit Division. Work closely with the Law Department providing accurate and in a timely matter any necessary documents requested that are relevant to legal actions against Paratransit. Recommend policy and procedure changes. Oversee and monitor training/development and distribution of materials to division staff about Access-A-Ride (AAR) policy and procedure changes. Provide trend analysis and recommendations based on routine surveys and feedback received from national, peer transit agencies.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A JD Degree and 8 years of full-time related experience, 5+ years of which must have been in a supervisory/managerial/administrative/capacity. Desired: Knowledge of bus operations and the American with Disability Act (ADA). Must be PC literate. Strong planning, organizing and analytical skills. Experience in the Public Sector. Excellent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Deadline: March 29, 2017
