Counsel The candidate will provide legal support for firm Exchange and Rentals operating companies, with primary focus on transactional needs, customer service and litigation matters and general support as detailed below. Will draft, review, research and negotiate various corporate and transactional documents on behalf of RCI and firm Vacation Rentals North America, including affiliation, management and service provider agreements, leases, rental contracts and purchase agreements. Lead review of customer service matters escalated to Legal, draft response letters and work with internal and external stakeholders on such matters. Assist internal firm counsel and outside counsel in investigating and responding to claims and demands relating to reseller issues, both before and during the litigation context. Provide general legal advice and support to internal clients (including senior leadership, operational managers, and front line personnel) on matters relating to RCI and WVR NA. Support compliance oversight of the Company’s operations and internal affairs with respect to federal, state, local laws and Company policies. Develop and maintain thorough understanding of and familiarity with the Company's business, its people, products, markets, facilities, customers and competitors to identify needs and challenges and formulate strategies accordingly.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree. Admission to practice before the Bar of one U.S. jurisdiction and admission as limited license counsel in New Jersey needed. Should have 1+ years of legal experience. Should preferably have 3 years of experience as an attorney working in law firms or corporations. Prefer experience with hospitality industry and transactional/real estate leasing arrangements needed. Computer efficiency and administrative self-sufficiency are prerequisites.
