GIA Threat Intelligence Analyst The candidate will identify and research full spectrum of security threats faced by company in the Mexico and Latin America region, including, political and violent risk, organized crime, non-state threat actors, natural events as well as influencing factors such as geo-political and regional conflicts, rule of law and economic stability. Will conduct strategic, tactical, and operational analysis of threats faced by company and support regional and global leadership in risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and process open source message traffic, vendor intelligence reporting, internal reporting and cases, and information sharing with partner units. Manage information requests for threat-related intelligence topics and produce analytical products related to new and emerging threats, with a special focus on physical security threats and forecasting analysis. Examine intersections between physical security, cyber and fraud related threats and engage responsible parties for analysis and reporting on those identified threats. Improve intelligence methodologies used for creating new solutions and analytical models - based on subject matter expertise in identified threat areas for company.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in areas of international relations, strategic studies, regional/area studies, security studies, criminal justice, economics, law, or related discipline. Graduate degree in related discipline preferred. Must have 3+ years of experience in intelligence analysis (private or government), law enforcement or relevant experience in large, complex environments utilizing intelligence databases and visualization software applications software packages such as Link Explorer, i2, ESRI etc. Proven track record of leveraging various datasets including commercial and non-commercial data sets to identify information of value is required. Proven track record of performing supplemental open source research to support analytical products is needed. Strong experience in the application of analytical techniques, including predictive modeling experience is essential. Broad professional experience, including prior international work experience/travel or experience working as part of a globally dispersed team required. Experience in innovation, or continuous improvement in risk management or corporate security fields needed. Prior experience with financial services companies and team management / project management is preferred. Fluency (both writing and speaking) in Spanish and English required. Deep knowledge and understanding of the threat environment within Latin America needed.
