Attorney Responsibilities: Responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating business-to-business service agreements for large and sophisticated Transportation, Distribution and Manufacturing commercial accounts, and to support legal review of complex enterprise sales agreements. Counsel B2B sales clients concerning legal and business matters arising from service agreements among Enterprise Solutions, its affiliates and their customers. Review, draft and negotiate numerous complex contracts simultaneously, including service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, statements of work and ancillary legal documents. Ensure that all transactions are legally sound and comply with all Verizon policies and practices and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including telecommunications, data privacy and data security laws and regulations. Provide legal analysis and counsel for complex enterprise sales bids. Support the Legal Department with ongoing and special initiatives, including process improvement, and template development and training. Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, affiliate business and legal personnel, internal approval groups and customers, and ensure that the clients’ legal needs are fully satisfied.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: J.D. with excellent academic performance from a top tier law school. Active and in good standing with a state bar or eligible for limited In-House Counsel Licensure. 3+ years of relevant and recent legal practice experience in a similar work environment (i.e., law firm or corporate legal department) with focus on commercial contracts review, drafting and negotiations, and development of proposals, supporting distribution, sales or procurement clients. Knowledge of telecommunications industry and Data Privacy Law are very helpful.
