Diversity Director The candidate will manage and deliver the firm's strategy on diversity and in particular, deliver on a number of initiatives recently agreed by the DC. Will make recommendations on new diversity projects and initiatives and implement adopted recommendations. Represent the firm at external diversity and inclusion events/forums/meetings. Research industry practices and trends relating to external diversity and inclusion initiatives and proffer proposals for review. Work with attorneys, employees and diversity and inclusion committee champions to launch new networks as appropriate, e.g. LGBT, Women in Leadership, etc. Support the on-going management of these networks by providing strategic support and operational guidance. Facilitate working groups on topics of relevance such as flexible working. Manage the completion and submission of a variety of external benchmarks and awards. Act as credible subject matter expert to internal and external business contacts. Review existing and potential providers to ensure they meet our expectations around diversity and inclusion, including the design and preparation of guidelines for suppliers. Work closely with Attorney Recruiting and Development/HR team and the wider business to ensure that diversity and inclusion matters are embedded into all HR and business processes, policy development, monitoring and evaluation. Collaborate with the firm wide Marketing team to ensure that the firm's strategy for diversity and inclusion is effectively communicated internally and externally including but not limited to intranet and internet content, newsletters, announcements, press releases, client requests, RFP's, surveys and electronic communications. Work with the Global Learning and Development team to develop a leadership program in order to provide opportunities to female and minority associates identified for potential partnership.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have a J.D. or an advanced degree in business administration or human resource management. Must have 2+ years of specialist diversity experience in a challenging professional services environment or an experienced HR manager/business partner who has demonstrable experience in the diversity field. Should have good understanding of Employment Law, in relation to diversity topics.
