Manager Goverment Relations Privacy The candidate will provide guidance and support related to privacy policies and practices, including primary responsibility for driving and managing data rights policies and practices for location data collected across the company affiliates. The successful candidate will work with various company product and business teams to balance product development priorities with customer's privacy and legal rights. Responsibilities will include: Advising on global privacy, consumer, and data protection laws and regulations related to the development, marketing and sale of location products and spatial-information -based use cases. Developing processes and working with product teams to review new and existing products and features and advising on appropriate compliance with global privacy laws and company. Developing privacy policy and customer notice language as necessary for new products and services or consent events. Overseeing and conducting privacy risk assessments to identify privacy and data protection risks and developing remediation plans for privacy compliance. Investigating and resolving privacy inquiries, complaints, and incidents related to location data. Preparing reports on privacy risks, metrics, and compliance activities for key stakeholders. Analyzing international privacy laws and how they would affect products as they move to off shore locations. In addition, depending on the needs of the business, will counsel on privacy-related issues for consumer marketing technologies and digital advertising; conduct compliance reviews to ensure adherence to all internal policies, federal and state laws and regulations related to privacy and data protection; and counsel and train employees to ensure best practices in areas of privacy protection.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD degree. Must be member of Bar of at least one state. CIPP preferred. Should have 6+ years of relevant work experience. U.S. and international privacy program management experience is needed. Must have technical degree such as Computer Science or Engineering. Should have 7+ years of U.S. and international privacy program management experience. International experience preferred. Must have proven track record of project and process development, implementation and project management. Should have knowledge of U.S. and global privacy laws, regulations and best practices. Must have strong knowledge and interest in emerging technologies.
