Develop forecast models and create supportable work paper files. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Case related o Summarize for analytical purposes life care planners’ projected medical costs over patient life expectancy o Review and analyze Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance pricing and policy, including billed rates from providers o Review and analyze reimbursement information o Conduct in-depth research into various public statistical resources and obtain most appropriate inflation/discount rates for purposes of financial projections, to assist with determining health care costs o Analyze for reasonableness comparative analysis regarding medical-related goods and services proposed by plaintiff life care planners and the reasonable value thereof o Help determine report data by preparing the inflationary and present value tables for future medical care costs o Work with attorney, policy, and health care staff o Work with team to assist in preparation of case specific reports, graphs, and charts o Establish self-reliant work papers documentation supported by clearly defined explanations s to support all critical financial data o Oversee work of and provide guidance to junior accounting personnel SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in auditing, accounting, or related field.
