Probate Paralegal

The candidate should have a background in Probate, Guardianship or Family Law. Must have recent experience working for a law firm. Professional attitude and appearance at all times is necessary. Should have the ability and willingness to work quickly and accurately. Experience scheduling hearings needed. Must have strong administrative skills.

Real Estate Paralegal

The candidate should have 5+ years working as a Paralegal or Title Closer. Must also have experience preparing various contracts, lease agreements, etc. Must be able to prepare closing package. Recent experience preparing final HUD is essential. Polished professional appearance is expected. Will occasionally accompany attorney to real estate developer office. A degree or certificate in relevant field is preferred.

Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for providing general corporate paralegal assistance within the following areas: Service of Process Distribution. Litigation/Legal Process Tracking and Support. Legal Hold Procedures. Legal Expense Electronic Billing System. Miscellaneous and Special Projects. Will distribute to appropriate internal audiences lawsuits, subpoenas, and other legal process served and its subsidiaries to appropriate internal audiences its Maintain Service of Process log in Access. Prepare and distribute Legal Hold Obligation notices and maintain log of same. Maintain and track Employment Claims Report and General Litigation claims in Access. Assist corporate and subsidiary employees in responding to subpoenas and discovery requests. Research cases as needed on Pacer. Interact with agencies and attorneys and prepare correspondence with state and federal agencies like EEOC regarding extension requests and submissions. Assist with all aspects of the e-billing system, including implementation, requirements and information gathering, testing, and configuration management. Assist with the payment process, internal allocation, intra- company inter-company billing and engages IT when issues arise that require their support. Oversees on-boarding of law firms, including engagement letters. Provides direct user support. Assist on various special projects on an as needed basis.

The candidate should have completion of a Paralegal course at an accredited school and/or Paralegal certification and 3+ years of practical experience in a corporate or business environment. Also 2+ years of recent practical experience in a law firm or legal department are highly preferred. Must be proficient and self-sufficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and Outlook.

Junior Paralegal - Real Estate (Residential and Commercial)

The candidate will prepare, open, maintain and close residential and a some commercial Real Estate files (sale, cash purchase, purchase and mortgage, leases etc.). Will complete work with accuracy and attention detail within the required timelines exceptional organizational skills. Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner. Serve in other duties as may be required. Should have a Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent education. Should have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in residential real estate. Some commercial real estate experience would be an asset. Strong keyboard skills (above 60/wpm) needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential.

Family Law Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all areas of law operations, including billing. Should have 3+ years of recent, strong experience in family law, working knowledge of MS Office. Proficiency in e-filing is a plus.

Litigation Paralegal

The candidate will organize and manage multiple tasks across a number of case related matters. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Must have completed an accredited paralegal program and have 2+ years of complex civil litigation and 1+ years of database, i.e. Summation, etc. experience. Should have solid experience with all phases of discovery, trial preparation, familiarity with litigation databases, summarizing medical records, solid communication and time management skills, and the ability to proofread and cite check legal briefs. Experience working with large volume of documents especially with discovery requests and responses essential. Asbestos experience a plus.

Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for all facets of APD's Revenue Cycle monitoring and improvement and third party contracting, and will coordinate revenue cycle issues with the appropriate department managers. Reports to Vice President of Finance and Chief Finance Officer (CFO). Bachelors degree is required. 7 years management experience in the healthcare field is required. Must have extensive knowledge of industry regulatory requirements, reimbursement, and managed care area experience required. Working knowledge in the areas of Patient Access, billing, accounts receivable and cash management requirements, health insurance practices and business office operations is needed. Should have ability to analyze and resolve problems. Must have leadership skills to motivate cross-departmental teams' performance toward excellence and develop team concepts and consensus building management styles. Must have demonstrated leadership in the core values of the organization. Should have ability to train and mentor others regarding decision support tools and financial information. Advance skills in computers and Excel; knowledge of Meditech a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, Negotiating skills, Project management skills are needed.'
