Transportation Job Description
A Transportation Attorney deals with all the legal issues related to transportation law including representing clients, whether individuals or businesses in suits involving almost all aspects of travel and commerce on the ground, in the air, and on the water including regulation of private and commercial vehicles, aircraft, and vessels; compliance with transportation safety standards; and oversight of commercial freight shipment activity. All the issues relating to federal and state laws pertaining to highways, mass transit, aviation, rail, maritime and motor carriers where it relates to the conveyance of passengers or goods especially as a commercial enterprise are covered under the Transportation Law. Transportation Law further branches out into Accident Law, Aircraft Accident, Airplane Accident, Auto Accident, Aviation Accident, Aviation, Car Accident, Construction Accident, Fatal Car Accident, General Accident, Railroad Accident, etc. The work of a Transportation Attorney mainly involves dealing with regulations for operators, including vehicles and infrastructure; as well as the contract of carriage, regulations and relation between the carrier and passenger in public transport and shipper and cargo owner in shipping.
The person wishing to practice as a Transportation Attorney should have a J.D. Degree or equivalent and also have registration with the state bar. Analytical and communication skills are also crucial.
