Ridder brings with him ample experience in a range of areas including contract negotiation and writing, technology and computer software solutions and licensing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance, human resource law, real property title insurance and escrow, mortgage lending, commercial building and project solutions, branding and identity, regulatory compliance audits and defense, intellectual property protection, corporate management of litigation matters, and more.
During his 32 years in the legal field, Ridder has functioned as the executive vice president and general counsel for Mercury Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Mercury Companies, Inc. is a holding company that offers title insurance, escrow, home building, software, mortgage document services, and mortgage lending services. While with Mercury, Ridder was responsible for overseeing the legal affairs on a range of real property enterprises.
Since 2007 Ridder has functioned as the owner, managing member, and CEO of Inspri, LLC, where he has worked to protect intellectual property under issued patents for the Sciata Seat cushioning system, maintained trademark protections, and provided guidance throughout the processes of the company's formation, licensing, and registration with the Federal Trade Commission of the US. He has also been involved in customer relations, production, and marketing.
Ridder earned his Juris Doctor from Washburn University of Topeka in Kansas. He holds a Bachelor's degrees in history and government, with an emphasis in economics from Adams State College in Colorado. He is a long-time member of POETS Real Estate Attorneys and is also an ACC, Colorado Bar Association, and American Bar Association member.
