However, Ksobiech's duties extend beyond the Career Services Office. He also serves as an adjunct professor and teaches Law Office Management, which addresses a range of topics related to the business of law practice, including organization, marketing, and resource management. He is also actively involved with NALP, the Association of Legal Career Professionals, and currently serves as the Chair of NALP's Newer Professional Section.
Ksobiech joined the Career Services Office at The University of Alabama School of Law in 2008, after serving as the law school's assistant director of admissions for nearly two years. Prior to that, he was a practicing attorney in Kansas City, Missouri. He spent more than a year as an associate attorney at Peterson & Associates and two-and-a-half years at Polsinelli Shalton Welte & Suelthaus, which is now known as Posinelli Shughart. He started his legal career at Rasmussen Willis Dickey & Moore immediately after earning his Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law.
In 2011 two of Ksobiech authored two articles that appeared in the NALP Journal: one that addressed cover letter strategies and one that discussed NALP resources. He also had two articles published in the journal in 2010. These earlier articles addressed collaboration between the Career Services Office and the Admissions Office, as well as methods of advancing from social networking contacts to face-to-face meetings. He was also a presenter at the 2011 NALP Education conference on Career Services Office counseling and programming procedures for first year law students. Additionally, Ksobiech, who is involved with the NALP's Student Professional Development Section, prepared NALP's E-Guide on Law Student Professionalism on Twitter.
Ksobiech, who holds a BA in Economics and Speech Communications from Loras College in Iowa, specializes in career planning, legal career counseling, data analysis, networking and social media use, student recruitment, product liability, and medical malpractice litigation. He is a member of both the State Bar of Kansas and the State Bar of Missouri.
