Casey T. Delaney, Director of the Office of Professional and Career Development

by Teresa Cajot
She graduated in 2005 and joined a law firm in Oklahoma City, where she focused her state and federal practice on complex civil litigation. During her five years with the firm, Delaney was involved in the summer associate recruitment program and also judged the University of Oklahoma's intra-school moot court competition. While working with students through these programs, Delaney discovered her true calling: working with law students.

In 2009, Delaney followed her calling and joined the career development office at Pepperdine University School of Law in California. When she was later offered the position of Director of the Office of Professional Career Development (OPCD) at her alma mater, she jumped at the chance and has been with the college ever since.

As the Director of the OPCD at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Delaney has a number of responsibilities. In addition to overseeing the overall operations of the OPCD, she works directly with students and graduates in the areas of career planning, resume development, job search techniques, and interview preparation. She also organizes the on-campus interviewing programs, alumni speaker events, and workshops. She offers assistance on fellowship and judicial clerkship applications and works to establish relationships with employers, which ultimately serves to cultivate job opportunities for students and graduates alike.

Delaney is a member of the NALP, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court Luther L. Bohanon Chapter. In 2009 she was named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star. She is admitted to practice in the Oklahoma state courts, the Western District of Oklahoma, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
