When Mark Zuckerberg agreed to pay former Harvard classmates Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss $20 million to settle a lawsuit over who exactly founded Facebook, he thought that was the end of it and that he was free to continue building his multi-billion dollar company. What he couldn't have known was the twins, still smarting from what they perceived as a loss, would soon sue him once again. Now, almost four years later, Zuckerberg gets a ruling. Judge Alex Kozinski declared the case dead in the water. Writing for the unanimous judicial panel, Judge Kozinski says, ''At some point, litigation must come to an end. That point has now been reached''. No doubt it was a blow to the Winklevoss brothers, but finally peace of mind for Zuckerberg.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Judge Kozinski's parents, both of whom were Holocaust survivors, brought him to America. After graduating from UCLA in 1972 with an AB, and then from UCLA School of Law in 1975, Kozinski was asked to serve as Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy's clerk. He did so for one year before moving to the same position for another Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger. A few short years later, he found himself appointed by President Ronald Reagan as the very first U.S. Special Counsel. It was a role he would thrive in and one that would begin the journey that culminated into him hearing the infamous Facebook lawsuit.

His new role with President Reagan also happened to be a brand new arm of the American courts, the United States Court of Federal Claims. He was but 32 at the time. In 1985, President Reagan appointed him to the position he continues to fill. He remains the youngest federal appeals court judge in history.

Make no mistake, Judge Kozinski has his share of scandal. In 2008, images were found on his website that some say were obscene and disgusting. Others insisted they were photos that had made the rounds for years, including a few of the ''Priceless'' jokes, worded after the famous MasterCard commercials. Unlike every other political mind who's been caught in a less than ideal position, Judge Kozinski took more of a non-plussed approach. After all, he'd put the photos up – and he had no interest in denying it nor apologizing. As it turns out, the issue was soon dropped and the judge maintained his reputation and his position.

For now, we're guessing Zuckerberg is quite pleased with the results of this week's ruling – and odds are, both he and the Ninth Circuit are hoping this is truly the end of the years-long battle that made not only Zuckerberg rich, but also saw two brothers who kept insisting on making courtroom appearances.
