As part of the Chamberlain McHaney Law Firm, Stephanie Sterling enjoys working with award winning lawyers and support staff. The firm, with expertise in civil trial and appellate law, has been a part of the Super Lawyer Network for five years in a row and is proud to be home to one partner who was recently honored with the Outstanding Defense Bar Leader in the nation. Further, the president-elect of the Austin Bar Association, a National Director of DRI and three attorneys who are board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law are all a part of the team Sterling works with on a daily basis in her role at Chamberlain McHaney. Make no mistake, however. Sterling is a dedicated and accomplished professional in her own right.
She is currently on the Board of the Capital Area Paralegal Association, where she works with marketing and advertising to ensure Texas paralegals are up to date in all things related to the law. Her education and experience are invaluable to her causes and she thrives on the busy workdays that make up her career. While it is an important part of who she is, she is most proud of her family. She is a wife and mother and in what little free time she has, she enjoys being a history buff. Clearly, her passion for life is more than remarkable. Speaking of education, Sterling attended West Texas A&M University and Lamar University.
Along with her commitment to the Capital Area Paralegal Association, she is also the Sustaining Members Liaison and Chair (2010-2011), Paralegal of the Year Award Committee Chair (2010-2011), Pro Bono Award Committee Chair (2010-2011), Texas State representative for ParalegalGateway.com (2009 through present), Public Relations Committee Sub Chair for District 4 Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas (2009 through present), and she is a former Treasurer for the Southeast Texas Association of Paralegals (SETAP, 2007-2008).
When she's not busy in her role as a litigation paralegal or with her commitments to the committees she is so passionate about, she is networking with other parents, via her Twitter feed, about various parenting goings-on. Her conservative Christian values keep her balanced, and her commitment to her family is clearly always her number one priority. In a world of folks who focus so intently on the economy, politics and the hundreds of breaking news emails that hit our inboxes each day, Sterling is a beacon of balance and prioritized living. She is an example to be followed and her successes are because of her dedication. It's little wonder she masters her life with such grace.
For now, Sterling is happy with the full plate she balances and remains committed to her employer and its efforts in its various practice areas. She enjoys the work she does with the various committees and likely wouldn't trade her life in Texas for any other place in the world. That's just how it is with folks who are content and happy with life in general. We are proud to include Stephanie Sterling into our Hall of Fame.
