Prior to joining BCG Attorney Search, Evan worked for Shannon & Manch LLP as a senior legal career advisor. In this role, he provided job search support to outplaced attorneys by helping them to select law firms in the D.C. market that best matched their skill sets, providing resume and cover letter critiques, and helping them strengthen their interview skills by conducting mock interviews.
Evan's breadth of experience includes experience in the public, private and governmental sectors. He has developed and presented workshops focused on career planning, talent retention, mentoring, diversity awareness, and team building. He's coached managers and attorneys on methods for reducing workplace conflict, retaining talent and reducing attorney attrition. Additionally, he's also administered and interpreted psychometric assessments to help clients identify personal and professional values, skills, and options.
A skilled negotiator, writer and speaker, Evan was called upon regularly to mediate and resolve disputes between constituents and state agencies, as well as to collaborate with state and local officials and agency General Counsels while working for the Florida Governor's Office, and the Florida Cabinet. Additionally, in his role as deputy director for the Washington National Cathedral Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation, he liaised with international leaders, elected officials, and governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote peace making efforts worldwide.
Evan's broad base of experience, along with his passion for helping people achieve their dreams, enables him to relate to a wide variety of candidates, while offering them the personal attention each candidate deserves.
Evan holds both a Post Graduate Certificate in Organizational Counseling and a Master of Science in Counseling from John Hopkins University.
