Budd Larner P.C. Extends Lease To 2024
Budd Larner, P.C., among the most prestigious law firms in New Jersey, has just signed a lease extension on their Short Hills office building that will go through to October of 2024. Their premises, owned by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, consist of a 54,931 square feet at Mack-Cali Short Hills, 150 John F. Kennedy Parkway in Short Hills, New Jersey.
Budd Larner consists of around 80 attorneys and has offices in Short Hills, NJ; Cherry Hill, NJ; New York, NY; and Philadelphia, PA. It was founded in 1934 and their clients include individuals, partnerships, and corporations- from start-ups to Fortune 100 multinationals.
Maynard Cooper & Gale Expand Onto Mobile Market
Maynard Cooper & Gale have expanded their presence onto the Mobile market. The law firm, based in Birmingham, has chosen attorney Jay Watkins to head up the firm's newest venture.
The firm claimed that the move in the market was ''consistent with [their] strategic goal.'' They will now have offices in all of Alabama's major metropolitan markets, among them, Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile.
Maynard Cooper & Gale boasts 145 lawyers working in their many offices located around the state.
Wisconsin Based Foley & Lardner Announces 39 Layoffs
The LargestLaw Firm in Wisconsin, Foley & Lardner, has announced 39 layoffs, which will come out of their 21 offices around the world. Some of the layoffs will come from their Milwaukee and Madison offices.
''Part of this was driven by a much broader effort to bring costs in line with clients' expectations that legal services be more cost effective,'' said H. Carl Mueller, president of Mueller Communications, who acts as spokespeople for Foley & Lardner.
Foley & Lardner employs around 1,000 attorneys and, up till now, has been able to steer clear of the cuts that their fellow law firms have seen during the recession.
