08/07/07 Choate, Hall & Stewart launches innovative new recruitment webpage Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart, LLP, has launched a new recruitment webpage that integrates reality-TV-style vignettes, commercial videos with professional actors, and vintage film footage. The new recruitment site will communicate the benefits of being associated with Choate rather than other major competitors. The website was created by Greenfield Belser and is part of an overall redesign of the firm's website. Choate, Hall & Stewart, LLP, is one of the leading law firms in the nation. Its practice areas include business and technology, private equity, litigation, wealth management, insurance/reinsurance, and intellectual property. Reeder joins Sheppard Mullin in Los Angeles Christopher S. Reeder has left Lord, Bissell & Brook along with a team of three other attorneys to join Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP's Los Angeles office. Special counsel Beverly Lu, associates Gabriel Green and Gene Wu, and Reeder will be part of the law firm's business trial practice group. Reeder practices in the areas of commercial law, real estate, franchise law, business practices, intellectual property, employment and labor, construction, and lending and brokerage law, among others, and will join Sheppard Mullin as a partner. Sheppard Mullin has 250 litigation specialists, more than 75 of whom are based in its Los Angeles office. The firm has more than 490 attorneys and 10 offices worldwide assisting clients in a diverse range of practice areas. Shingleton named "Paralegal of the Year" Steptoe & Johnson recently announced that Lorena A. Shingleton, ACP, a paralegal in the firm's Charleston office, has been named "Paralegal of the Year" by Legal Assistants/Paralegals of Southern West Virginia (LAPSWV). Shingleton received the award for her outstanding achievements and her contributions to the legal industry over the past year. LAPSWV is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2004 in Charleston. Steptoe & Johnson has more than 170 lawyers and a support staff of more than 200. It serves clients from six offices in West Virginia. The firm recently opened an office in Columbus, OH, as well.
