Out of Jail

by Robin Salisian
Out of Jail
Out of Jail
Hilton's time in jail ended last Tuesday.
As she walked past fans and paparazzi, smiling and waving, she broke into a run, hurrying towards a black sport utility vehicle in which her parents whisked her away to her grandparents' house in Beverly Hills.

But not before a few pictures were snapped.

"When her SUV had to stop at a red light, the photographers jumped out of their cars and surrounded it," states an article on www.cnn.com.

"Hilton, 26," continues the article, "was sentenced to 45 days for the 2006 probation violation, but served about half the term, gaining credit for good behavior."

"This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done," said Hilton in a statement. "I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter but important lesson from this experience."

"I feel like God does make everything happen for a reason. And it gave me, you know, a time-out in life just to really find out what is important and what I want to do, figure out who I am. And even though it was really hard, I took that time just to get to know myself," said Hilton to Larry King in her first TV interview since leaving jail.

According to the same article on www.cnn.com, "Hilton's probation will end in March 2009 as long as she keeps her driver's license current and doesn't break the law."
