The fundraiser included live music. | Tim Wallace, an attorney in Tennessee, is one such attorney. Wallace, who has been battling cancer since the fall of last year, has a lot of fans in the surrounding community who are doing everything they can to help him out financially as he goes through his treatments.
"Tim's not a regular ol' attorney. Tim's not a mercenary, I'm telling you," Wayne Brown, a friend of Wallace's, said in an interview with The Leaf-Chronicle. "He's one of the kindest and most giving people, one of the finest people I've ever known. People love him."
To help support Wallace during the time he has to be off of work to undergo cancer treatments, the local community put together a fundraising event, and many musicians volunteered to play as part of it.
The fundraiser featured The Ballistic Pintos and friends, many of whom were surprise guests. Bobby Keel, Wallace's cousin, was busy recording "The Crockett Chronicles" in Texas and could not be at the event. There was also an auction before the musical entertainment.
"He's always willing to help anyone. He's a great friend," Rick Jones, who helped put on the fundraiser, said in an article in The Leaf-Chronicle. "He shows love for everybody, and that's what we're trying to do for him."
