Jones Day's Washington, DC, office has new intellectual property partner
International law firm Jones Day has announced that Eric S. Namrow has been appointed as the firm's new partner in its Washington, DC, office. The intellectual property litigator and counselor has had significant experience with jury and non-jury trials. He has handled cases and appeals involving patents, trademarks and trade dress, trade secret misappropriation, copyright law, and unfair competition related to a range of technologies and industries, including the chemical, pharmaceutical, electrical, and computer science sectors. Namrow earlier served as a partner in Venable, LLC's Washington office.
Gibson Dunn bolsters its UK international arbitration practice
Leading international law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, has added international arbitration specialist Cyrus Benson as a partner in its UK litigation and international arbitration practice in London. Kilpatrick Stockton has announced the appointment of Don Reiser as a partner in the firm's corporate department. Residing in the firm's New York and Atlanta offices, Reiser will primarily practice in the international tax arena. With 25 years of experience, Reiser joins the firm from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a partner in the international tax group in New York. Debevoise & Plimpton appoints international counsel for its Moscow arm
Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, has hired Samuel Raymond Tillett as international counsel; he will be resident in the firm's Moscow office. As a member of the corporate department, Tillett will work on international securities, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Prior to this appointment, he was General Counsel for the ITI Group, Poland's largest media group. The Moscow office of Debevoise & Plimpton now employs 17 attorneys and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, securities, equipment finance, joint ventures, and investment funds.
Schiff Hardin adds partner from Sidley Austin's Tokyo office

Akiyama comes from the Tokyo office of Sidley Austin, LLP, where he was an associate. A specialist in mergers and acquisitions transactions as well as general corporate matters, Akiyama has drafted agreements for joint ventures, strategic alliances, distributorships, and licenses.
