How I Got a Job

Before becoming an attorney, Nobles worked for several years as an engineer at Rockwell International. While working on her doctorate in electrical engineering, she became interested in law after speaking with some intellectual property lawyers. Nobles enrolled at the University of Southern California Law School in 1989 and earned her law degree in 1992.

After graduating, she worked at a few different firms as an intellectual property (IP) lawyer before joining Crowell & Moring in its Irvine office in 2004. Nobles' experience as an engineer and an IP lawyer were instrumental in getting her hired at Crowell & Moring.

Nobles said one of the things that she likes most about working at Crowell & Moring is that "it's a very community-based, collegial law firm." She added that she likes the fact that the firm is committed to doing pro bono work.
