RUSTIC RESORT - Terrace Beach Resort on Vancouver Island in Ucluelet, British Columbia, Canada, is owned by Jason Priestley and his family. CNS Photo by Lorne Priestley.
- Francis Ford Coppola - The actor owns a trio of classy wilderness hideaways:

The Blancaneaux Lodge is nestled in the lush Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve of Western Belize. Hike, bike, ride horses or get a massage beside the Privassion River. Accommodations for two, including a continental breakfast buffet, range from $195 in summer for a garden-view cabana to $650 during Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter weeks for the two-bedroom Francis Coppola villa. Learn more at blancaneauxlodge.com.

Coppola's Turtle Inn is on the southernmost coast of Belize near Placencia. Guests stay in Balinese-inspired, thatched-roof bungalows with screened porches and Japanese-style baths. They can scuba dive, snorkel, kayak, hike, mountain-bike, dip in the pool or the Caribbean - or luxuriate at the spa. Rates for two, including breakfast, start at $250 for a garden-view cottage in summer and go to $455 for the Chinese Matrimonial Suite (with its fertility bed and outdoor shower) during peak holidays, when there's a three-night minimum. Two-room villas and a family house are available. Learn more at turtleinn.com.

In 2004, Coppola opened La Lancha, a luxury lodge overlooking Lake Peten Itzin in the Guatemalan rain forest. Guests can visit Maya temple ruins and archaeological sites at nearby Tikal, hike rain-forest trails, learn Spanish or simply relax by the pool. Casitas for two start at $95 in summer and go to $210 during peak holidays, when there's a three-night minimum. Continental breakfast is included. Learn more at lalancha.com.

- Jason Priestley - He and his family own the Terrace Beach Resort in Ucluelet on the stunning west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Built in 1999 to resemble a fishing village, the oceanfront resort is adjacent to the Wild Pacific Trail, one of the most beautiful spots on earth for hiking. There are five styles of units, most built on pilings, some with fireplaces, kitchenettes and whirlpool spas. Accommodations for two range from $99 to $369 a night. There's a two-night minimum during summer and holidays. Learn more at terracebeachresort.ca.
