Douglas P. Lobel has been named as partner in Cooley Godward, LLP's business litigation practice in Reston, VA, expanding the firm's East Coast litigation practice. He will primarily work on complex contract and commercial litigation matters. Lobel was most recently senior partner at Arnold & Porter, LLP's litigation group and has expertise in the areas of complex litigation, class-action lawsuits, and arbitrations. Fulbright adds corporate partner in Austin office
Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP, has announced Darrell Windham as partner for its business and corporate securities practice in its Austin, TX, office. Windham will focus his practice on corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Andrew Hulsh is the new partner in the corporate and finance practice of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP's New York office. He will focus his practice on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, private equity matters, and finance transactions. Having worked at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel as a partner, Hush has experience in 40 public offerings of equity and debt securities and specializes in international merger and acquisition transactions. Three new private equity partners in Goodwin Procter's Washington, DC, office
J. Hovey Kemp, Christopher J. Hagan, and James A. Hutchinson have joined the Private Equity Practice of Goodwin Procter, LLP, in Washington, DC. All three lawyers have moved in from Hogan & Hartson and specialize in private equity, growth equity investments, leveraged transactions, securities, and portfolio company representation. A 650-attorney firm, Goodwin Procter focuses its practice on corporate, litigation, and real estate, with a specialization in private equity, technology companies, and financial services.

Accolades for Proskauer Rose
International law firm Proskauer Rose has been recognized for outstanding achievement in the latest edition of Chambers USA. Individual attorney rankings have increased 30%, and practice rankings have risen by 25%. The firm's sports law, ERISA, litigation, equity fund formation, employment defense, corporate, healthcare, wealth management, and commercial litigation practices received Chambers' top rankings. Law firms to merge
Klett Rooney Lieber and Buchanan Ingersoll are in the midst of merger talks, and a number of lawyers within the two firms are reported to have expressed dissatisfaction over the proceedings. According to some sources, some attorneys may be opting out of the combined entity. Recent surveys indicate that, assuming that the merger goes through without any major drain in personnel, the combined strength of the new firm would make it the largest in Pennsylvania, overtaking Reed Smith, the current leader in manpower resources.
